NC Mound’s salty pitching in bad weather gives manager Kang a thumbs-up

“It was a great pitching performance from Lee Jae-hak on the mound to Lee Yong-chan in the closing innings in bad weather”.

NC defeats Samsung to secure the best-of-seven series. The NC won 5-1 in an away game at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on April 2.

Starting pitcher Lee Jae-hak pitched five innings of six-hit ball with two walks and one strikeout to reach 80 career wins. Kim Si-hoon, Kim Young-kyu, Lim Jung-ho, Ryu Jin-wook, and Lee Yong-chan then took the mound to secure the four-run victory.

Among the batters, Park Gun-woo went 5-for-4 with a wedge home run, one RBI and one run scored, while Kim Sung-wook (5-for-2 with one home run, one RBI and two runs scored), Park Min-woo (4-for-2 with two runs scored) and Oh Young-soo (3-for-2 with two RBI) stood out.

Manager Kang Myung-hyun said, “In the bad weather, we showed great pitching from Lee Jae-hak on the mound to Lee Yong-chan in the closing innings. At the plate, Kim Sung-wook’s walk-off home run and Park Gun-woo’s four hits helped us win the game,” said Kang.

“We would like to thank our fans for their patience during the 88-minute rain delay and for their passionate support until the end, and we will do our best to prepare well for tomorrow’s game and reward them with a good game to end the week.” 안전놀이터
