Munich hires Hwang Hee-chan-Hollan as golden-handed director…’Kim Min-jae connection’ coach also on board

Bayern Munich, the team of Kim Min-jae, has a new sporting director.

The Bavarians announced the appointment of Christoph Proint as sporting director via their official channels on Tuesday.

Proint spent 17 years at Red Bull Salzburg, where he transformed the club into one of Europe’s leading ‘giants’.

In his roles as team manager, sporting coordinator and sporting director, he developed promising youngsters such as Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton) and Elling Holland (Man City) into top-level players.

In his new role, he will act as a “point of contact for everyone” in Munich, according to Kicker.

He will be responsible for retaining top players such as Harry Kane and Kim Min-jae, as well as discovering up-and-coming talent. “To be able to work for such a special and big club is a dream for me,” he said at the official presentation on Tuesday.

At the same time, Munich also hired former Southampton head coach Richard Kitschitzler, who has close ties to the sporting director. He will work primarily with the youth team. 안전놀이터

Kitschitzler also worked with Hwang as a video analyst and head coach at Salzburg.

From 2017 to 2019, he was Roger Schmidt’s right-hand man at Beijing Guoan, where he briefly worked with Kim Min-jae. In a twist, the coach and the monster defender were reunited in Munich.

The Bavarians eventually appointed a key figure from Salzburg to implant the ‘Red Bull philosophy’.
